Graphic Designer
Full-Time, Remote Position
Role
The Graphic Designer will work in the Marketing team to design compelling graphics, content, and branding to support CelebrateMercy’s marketing and communication strategies across all its platforms and programs, as well as its overall branding.
Responsibilities
Design brand identity and creative materials (e.g., flyers, infographics, video thumbnails) with high standards.
Understand and apply fundamental design principles (layout, composition, typography, color).
Provide design expertise to other areas of the company, including support for presentations, promotional materials, and digital assets for web and email.
Communicate proactively and consistently, and work cooperatively with other team members and departments to ensure successful programs.
Be up to date on current design trends and best practices, and apply them at CelebrateMercy
SKILLS & Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience
Portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create compelling visual designs
Working experience at a Muslim non-profit organization, a plus
Excellent writing skills in English
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media marketing and platforms
Ability to work in high paced environments, and produce high quality work with tight deadlines
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work and collaborate effectively with remote teams
Ability to self-train on new software & programs
Strong spreadsheet skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong sense of ownership of work, and strong ability to follow through on commitments
Knowledge or interest in the Prophet Muhammad’s life and character
Knowledge of Islam and Muslims in North America
Compensation
Compensation commensurate with experience.
