Video Editor
Full-Time, Remote Position
Role
The Video Editor will report to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for editing videos to support the organization's social media strategy.
Objective of the Role
Produce high quality videos to support the organization's social media strategy
Produce high quality promotional videos for different programs
Produce high quality content for diverse audiences and platforms in multiple formats
Ensure consistency in daily content
Identify and implement improvements in the video editing process
Keep up to date with the latest video marketing trends
Responsibilities
Understand the mission of CelebrateMercy, including its brand, audience, goals, and all other aspects of its programs
Download or cut video clips from CelebrateMercy's recorded programs
Edit horizontal & verticals videos with subtitles, graphics and visuals
Select & use b-rolls, suitable musical tracks, and/or effects in videos where appropriate
Edit video based on team's feedback; some projects require same-day turnaround
Shorten videos for storyboarding
Write scripts where necessary
Create and edit promotional videos or highlights as needed
Review video clips selected by other team members for quality and content
Work, and communicate proactively and consistently with the Marketing team and with other departments to ensure successful delivery of all content & programs
Identify and implement improvements in the video editing process
Train any new team members in the video production team as needed
Keep up to date with the latest video marketing trends
SKILLS & Qualifications
Working experience in video editing software: Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
Working experience in Canva, a plus
Knowledge of editing principles
Ability to work with multi-track split audio
Knowledge of aspect ratios
Experience with high-resolution file transfer applications
Understanding of video encoding formats
Understanding of social media channels
Ability to pick out attention-grabbing shots
Talent for sound design
Attention to detail
Excellent storytelling skills
Strong & Effective communication skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to work within a team, and independently
Basic Arabic comprehension and knowledge of Islamic terms, a requirement
English language proficiency, a requirement
Compensation
Compensation commensurate with experience.
