What is CelebrateMercy?
CelebrateMercy was founded in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that teaches about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ’s life and character – to both Muslims and the general public. We’ve reached 100 million people in 7 years through our short films, traveling conferences, and national media coverage of our campaigns.
Our recent campaign mobilized Muslims to repair vandalized Jewish cemeteries, raising $150,000 in 10 days. News of the campaign reached CNN, The New York Times and was tweeted by celebrities such as Ellen Degeneres (view the CNN TV interview here: bit.ly/cnn-m4j).
Our short films on the Prophet ﷺ feature cinematic Seerah re-enactments and 20 speakers including Nouman Ali Khan, Imam Zaid Shakir and Dalia Mogahed. View one of our short films here.
All donations are tax-deductible (Tax ID: 27-4171311).
This Ramadan, we are aiming to raise $500,000 through an iftar tour and online fundraising. 50% of funds will support our immediate upcoming programs; the other half will provide seed money for the new CelebrateMercy Endowment Fund. The Prophet ﷺtaught that Ramadan is the best month for giving charity.
All donations are tax-deductible and all funds raised will allow CelebrateMercy to teach millions more about the Prophet’s life and character. For a detailed video on our budget and goals, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
